Right To Work While Being Transgender

Never would have thought this would happen in San Francisco, so this is happening to you.

Not everyone has a union but everyone deserves to have confidence that whatever their gender expression is, they should be able to get up and go to work without fearing that their livelihood will be taken from them. We know that anyone can be targeted and that we all benefit from laws that allow us to live our lives in peace.

Being trans does not mean we can not do the work. Our résumé shows and proves that we are capable. All that we ask for is the same opportunity and right as every other human. Being trans shouldn't stop us from human rights.

I finally got a job/career where I can be my true self and it's been a life changer. As a trans woman all I wanted was to be able to survive and better my life without giving up my identity. I wish the same for everyone else.

All people, that are able, deserve the right to provide a decent life for themselves and those within their lives. Taking that away only increases the unemployment rate that the same people, stopping us from working, claim needs to get better
