This projected development is a terrible idea. Wedged between an established community, a large factory and wetlands I just can't understand how this is even being contemplated-there is simply not enough space for this to be safe!

Ridgebury and the abutting area of Danbury on Saw Mill Road/Ridgebury Road is being overbuilt. Our neighborhoods are no longer holding onto the small town feel but now we have trucks turning onto Turner Hill daily and lots of vehicles from all the neighboring new rentals and townhomes. There are lots of cars who “cut the corner” at a nearby intersection to avoid the highway. You can longer jog or bike along Ridgebury Road. A neighbor was forced off the shoulder into the bushes while running by a car who didn’t want to share the road. Please do not put any more multiple housing units in our Ridgebury neighborhoods. We are maxed out! Seems that Northern RIdgefield has become the unwanted stepchild of the town. We moved to this part of town because it was more country-like. We would’ve moved to town if we wanted the busyness of traffic all day. Please reconsider this decision in how it affects the many hundreds of people who currently live here. Soon there will be more for sale signs up in Ridgebury than the town would want to contend with. Or perhaps, like Wilton, the town will declare that for sale signs don’t get posted because it’s an embarrassment to see how many people are leaving.

I am a Turner Hill resident and I ask the Ridgefield Planning and Zoning Commission to DENY the proposed 8-30g application at the Turner Road/Barnum Place location. Safety concerns - more traffic across from local pool where children walk and ride bikes. Wetland concerns - the tiny parcel sits at a severe slope and new run-off issues will be an environmental hazard for the wetlands that lay below.
8-30g issue - this is a joke. 8-30g was NEVER intended to be used to bypass ADA and set back zoning rules. Further, the style (vertical living = stairs) and non ADA units being proposed here are in NO way a good idea for Seniors, which we all agree needs to be addressed. Setback override - due to tiny lot size - how can 9 units have enough parking / snow removal / room for a fire truck or ambulance / garbage pick up? It just doesn't make sense for this tiny piece of land. Please do the right thing and DENY this application. Thank you.

Unequivocally, not a suitable location for many reasons! Including but not limited to, increased traffic and safety risk as well as a conservation risk adding a multi family development so close to open space.
Yesterday, while driving on Ridgebury Road in the direction of I84, my vehicle was almost hit by a large truck that crossed into my lane to turn make a right turn (off Ridgebury) on to the road the marks the entrance to the Turner Hill.
This area has had significant development with little to no consideration of the impact. Please do not repeat the mistake.

Enough is enough . This is an absurd location stuck in a small residential area. I’ve been fairly silent about all the building going on under the guise of 830g but this is enough. Someone needs to step up and lead this town away from the direction it’s going in.
