For all the nay sayers about AB 5 and that drink the kool aid Uber is trying to sell please educate yourself, and read the IPO Statement that Uber(google it) filed when they become a public company and you will see how massive and huge they are as a company and I mean Super Huge, is a long read, some of the stuff I thought was very relevant, like the acquisition of Careem in March 2019 for 3.1 billion (the Uber of the middle east) THEY Are NOT BROKE they claim no profit when in reality they just investing it in other ventures, these companies need to be regulated.they are paying 30c A mile to Arizona and Neveda drivers, how long until they do the same here in CA? DO not believe the Kool aid they are tryng to sell u, AB 5 will may not be the solution for everyone but is the beginning

This bill is not to support drivers. It is to support taxis and other transportation industries and force uber and lyft to leave California and put us drivers out of work.

Don’t pass this bill. There are safety precautions in the app. We don’t need this. It won’t only affect drivers but riders.

I want to keep our independent contractor status and ability to make our own schedules, but with a more fair pay system. It should be a percentage of the fair the rider charges, we should know where we are going for the ride both to pick up and dropoff before we accept the ride and we should not get penalized for turning down rides.

I like my flexible hours! I like to drive! I have another job that keeps me pretty busy. But sometimes I need a little extra to get by. Rideshare driving helps me that way,
