We drivers hate ab5! 80% of drivers don't want Ab5! Truckers hate it too, so they fought for exemption. The news media lies to the public and claims we want ab5. We are all going to lose our jobs! Does any body care!?

Abolish AB5 and leave rideshare companies out of it

As an employee, we would no longer have the right to flexible hours. The companies would not be able to sustain an hour wage guarantee of $21/hr for millions of drivers, they would limit when and where you could work. Like Doordash does or did before, you select a zone and time and could only drive there. If the slots were full, you couldnt drive. I go back to school to get Masters degree, a 9am till 5pm job does not work for me. I have other issues as well. The biggest change I want is to have Uber and Lyft stop taking so much of what the Rider pays, cap them at 25% total, not 25% from the driver and up to another 35% directly from the Rider initially, they get way too much for our hard work. Also, there is no reason, my 1099K should include the 25% of the miles and minutes Uber takes (that is their profit) ... they also include the Service Fees with our "Gross Profits" ... none of what Uber takes is "my profits".

Please support an exemption to AB5 for independent writers, artists, musicians, filmmakers of California. The consequences of an overarching legislation will crush the spine of creative industries that make this state a paragon of visionary expression.

Please dont sign Bill AB5. I know I am a independent contractor. This is what I signed up for and which I am working. There are only a small bunch that want this. Most of us drivers Do Not want this!! Please dont ruin our livelihood because of a few. Again, please say No to AB5!!
