I am against the sale of any portion of this Reserve. Another supermarket is not required on this site.

I believe that the provision of public reserves was the fundamental design of the community and essential to maintain services and lifestyle of the residents

Golden Grove was founded on the premise on the green space. Selling Richardson is the thin end of the wedge. To say the amenity of the area won't be impacted negatively is naïve. There are many shopping options in and around Golden Grove. I wonder the impact of this on the viability of other centres such as Sunnybrook that has been contributing to the community for decades now. The soccer club is only one section of the community. They'll gain and everyone else will lose.

Selling reserves or part thereof is becoming an insidious trait of this council. Too lazy to balance the books with regular revenue streams.

Oh for goodness sake council - why don't you focus on what's unique in your area and stop trying to make a quick buck by destroying what little green space you have and becoming just the same as every other town. Boring and lazy strategic development.

Stop selling off public open land, once it's sold it's gone forever and we need more open space not less especially with backyards getting smaller. The animals and birds also need plenty of open space and trees but these open space areas are shrinking and disappearing. These open spaces are for people to use not for the Councils and governments to sell off, we can never get them back once they are sold.
