I see no reason why this observatory would not be an attractive and exciting addition to your neighborhood. What a great way to bring your neighbors together! The HOA is overstepping its bounds here... enforcing rules to keep the neighborhood attractive and stifling a unique, unobtrusive use of a family's private property are two very different things.

Seems to me if it already meets the requirements, then it already is allowed. You cannot make up rules after the fact.

Getting kids interested in science these days is hard enough. The building is the size of a small shed and makes no noise.

This is a no brainier! There are developments that have observatorys in them but only open once a month....this is free to the community and as long as the neighbors that can see it from their house do not object, there should be no problem.

This is quite Awesome! I think the potential educational benefits are an incredible benefit to the community in which this could get built!

I don't see a problem with this project it will be educational and kids might actually enjoy it and become something beside useless wastes of skin that some of these other kids have become because of lack of interest from adults around them

Tom Pickles is a responsible member of the community. He is a fireman and a veteran. He wants to pursue his interest by building an observatory that will follow the requirements for a city permit. It will be no different from having a gazebo in the backyard-10 X 10 X 8!

Would be a great place for the community to gather. Please reconsider your decision!

It's a shed with a telescope in it. How could you not approve it?

This is a no-brain-er. Live long and prosper.

Being necessary to the avancement of science in a free state, the right to keep and bear telescopes shall not be infringed.

No different than a shed, and on top of that, it's aesthetically pleasing AND educational! No reason to deny a completely silent hobby, that has no detriment to the neighborhood.
