Congestion on providence road is already intolerable- adding more residents forced to use Providence will exacerbate the issue. Additionally, the planned construction does not seem at all in keeping with the current housing, and will certainly decrease home values.

My grandparents built one of those existing homes in 1979. When they bought the land the owner placed a 3 acre minimum deed restriction on each lot so it would never be developed. The only way to break this restriction was for all the current property owners to agree. Thus 20 acres was NEVER intended to be used in this manner. I live across the street on Providence & the traffic is already hideous! With the new apartments on Providence near Fairview & all the construction on that corner. It is out of control & I hugely oppose this development!!!!!!!!!!

I oppose the Rezoning proposal.

Another higher-density development on Providence Road will only further tax traffic capacity on Providence and secondary roads, create dangerous traffic situations, and detract from the residential nature of the area. I endorse this petition.

Destroying 8 existing homes and disturbing neighborhood is not an acceptable situation for the people.

It is inconceivable that the city would even consider adding housing on a main thoroughfare that is already a traffic congestion route - and on the side of the road that will undoubtedly require another traffic signal to permit left turn exits to go towards downtown. The cityy needs to get more in tune with traffic issues before pushing affordable housing issues.

Totally object to the rezoning. Traffic is bad enough as it is. The proposed building will be a sore in the landscape.

Traffic on Providence right now is herendious and adding the traffic from this project will make a bad situation worse.

Strongly oppose. In addition, this should not be the forum for discussion- pros/cons/or otherwise. This is a page for signature to DENY the rezoning. State your positions in other forums

We live across the street from the proposed site at the corner of Outer Bridge Lane and Providence Road. Carol and I will use any resource we have to prevent this proposed project. Please keep us informed of any meetings or ways we can help.

The traffic is already unmanageable. At some point the overall effect of these decisions has to be part of the analysis.

I live in Chadwyck by the intersections of Rea and Colony Roads. The traffic on Rea between Providence and Colony has grown to be bumper-to-bumper from 5pm to 6:30pm pretty regularly now as more townhomes have been built in the area. Our region has been overdeveloped and quality of life is threatened. I support this petition.

Stop building until you have all the logistics in place to support the ridiculous growth. You can’t continue to build up without proper planning past the close of the building, necessary roads, traffic patterns, etc.
