I live along Providence Rd. It is already a traffic/safety nightmare. Why would you want to make it even worse?

Current road system will not accommodate the traffic the higher density will create.

Infrastructure needs to be updated to accommodate growth.

There is no reason developers cannot make money under the existing zoning plans and city guidelines. Developers should be required to prove they cannot make a profit under existing zoning before consideration, otherwise why have zoning if developers can get approval for any zoning they desire.

There is too much traffic already on Providence Road and cannot handle more with this development.

The density of this project will create a traffic nightmare to an already crowded Providence Tx

The traffic is backed up for 2-3 hours every morning and evening. I am against any new multi dwellings with our overcrowded roads.

I am AGAINST this and any high density development in this area of Charlotte.

I’ve lived at Providence Commons since 1995. Each year the traffic has grown to the point that I can barely turn south. The speed limits are a joke. People drive in excess of 50-60 mph., We need more traffic lights ... Providence Conmons is a significant cut through. The addition of town homes and 200 senior apartments will significantly impact traffic as well as traffic accident risks. I can’t state how many times I have been at risk this area grows. Traffic in am as well as any times past 2:00-3:00 pm is impacting. The congestion is awful.

Jason S, I have found no evidence that the Planning Department has "supported" higher density. The GDP does allow increased density if certain conditions are met. If anyone stated that R-8 is a given they probably misspoke.

I have lived on Providence Road almost 44 years. This road cannot handle more traffic. Zoning is R-3 and rezoning is in complete opposition to what Zoning is supposed accomplish and unfair to those living close-by. Certainly money has exchanged hands on this.

I oppose this rezoning, with concerns related to the density of proposed housing, traffic overload to an already congested Providence Road, , lack of traffic signal, and the effect on the street scape of a 4-story structure. I also have concerns with the impact of required grading and topography changes to storm water runoff, and the impact of this high density housing on emergency access by fire and police.

We need to preserve our neighborhood as it is now, quiet and peaceful. Thank you,
