This would be a great addition to the community! Marty Duffy is a class act. The building he wishes to open his business in has been used for food and beverage. He will not be taking away from a retail business as it was already used in this manner. Best wishes Marty Duffy! We look forward to you coming to Pella!

Could you imagine how nice it would be for Pella Opera House traffic, Central parents, sales teams visiting Pella Corp & Vermeer... the list goes on and on!

Pella needs a good lounge on the square. Less then 2 blocks a way is a trashy "saloon" that attracts the wrong types of people. If there were more upscale lounges and brew houses downtown it will give people options instead of going to the lower society bar for convenience factor.

I think pella would benefit from having the peanut cellar there. He is very supportive of the community and rally behind the schools.

I grew up in Pella. K-12. I went to UNI for 4 years and have now lived in Iowa City since 2008.
It's time to take down the fences around Pella and be realistic about commerce in 2015. Don't be anymore late to the game than you already are.

The Cellar Peanut Pub has done great things for Oskaloosa and has been a great advocate for quality, craft and local beer. I believe it would draw locals and travelers to downtown Pella year-round and fit in well with the great shops, restaurants and coffee houses already there.
