Take this to the public for a vote. The best ways to make housing affordable include supporting quality education for ALL so that young earners have education/employment choices, as well as ensuring that working people are not so poorly compensated that they cannot afford a home. Take on the developers and require that for each large home they build they also construct a starter. Before you assume we'll use public transportation, create a transport system that will actually take me where I need to be. It's crazy that we continue to rip up roads, inconvenience everyone and still end up without rapid transport. The 'plan' is a wish list and requires additional time, data and input.

As a new resident of MN, brought here by a corporate job offer, this is an important issue. I've informed my company of these changes and the implications to recruiting talent to the state.

This "plan" does not acknowledge the problems of traffic, infrastructure and the significant investment by current homeowners to make their homes and neighborhoods a highly desirable area in which to live. Furthermore while increasing density there is no assurance it would even address diversity and affordability. The "here a 4-plex, there a 4-plex" hodge podge nature of development would create aesthetically unappealing neighborhoods.

Rewrite the plan, preserve the feel of the neighborhoods, do not distroy Minneapolis because of the influence of developers $$$.

The Minneapolis 2040 plan needs a lot of work.
There needs to be a lot more input from residents!

You're supposed to represent the interests of we, the people and not big money construction companies and developers. You appear to be 'Trump-inspired'.

We bought our home in quiet neighborhood of single family homes. The plan to allow 4 plexes on our street violates the basic principles of city planning, will lower our property values, and damage our quality of life.

Adding density all over the city is not fair.

This plan seems shockingly short sighted, serving the priorities of developers and "spec" builders who are already rapidly shredding the fabric of this city with a goal of personal/corporate profit rather than grounded community building. There is such an opportunity here for true vision which will require thoughtful maturity.

There needs to be more work done on the 2040 plan before all our neighborhoods are demolished.

I’m a land developer and general contractor, and based on nearly thirty years of experience, your 2040 plan is idiotic.

I vote no on this plan that encourages random development and ill conceived notions of bringing equity to Minneapolis.

This blanket rezoning that is part of the Minneapolis 2040 is making me sick to my stomach. I've been a Southwest Minneapolis resident for 30 years and don't want my neighborhood filled with multifamily buildings , clogged streets due to no off street parking requirements for these new buildings cars and decreased property values to go down. Not to sound pretentious but I worked hard to be able to ive in this SW mpls neighborhood and don't want it ruined!

Stop 2040. Seems rushed and not thoughtout for the long haul. Are you driving families to the suburbs? Parking is a concern and over crowding if schools.

Horrible plan which will destroy our close knit neighborhood.
We all need to pay attention now so we don’t live with regret later
