The 2040 plan will fail to achieve its primary goals and if it is approved the unintended consequences will greatly outweigh any benefit of increased housing stock.

Please revise this plan so that it actually addressed the issues presented in a socially environmentally, and economically responsible manner......let's see some actual innovation, and concern for our current citizens as well as future growth. Right now we know it's nothing but a smoke screen to a bigger tax base and a developers dream come true. We expect integrity and honesty, neither of which is evident in this plan. We voted you in, and if necessary we will vote you out.

This plan takes away our individuality.

We need data to support the effectiveness of this proposal. The risk of it NOT working and meeting its intent may widely outweigh the chance of improvement

Definitely appose this plan. I used to live in New York City. This would remind me of it too much

The character of our neighborhoods, what makes them unique and makes them home to us, is that we own our own little slice of the American dream. Our house, our yard, our home!

A plan of this dimension needs massive citizen buy-in. Many, many residents feel disenfranchised from the plan, and particularly city/wide upzoning.

Having lived in this city for 52 years, the last 45 of them in my current home, I strongly oppose the 2040 plan. We who have invested our lives, energy, and economic resources to foster real community here do not want our efforts obliterated by such a cram-down plan.

This 2040 plan must absolutely be put to a vote. At the VFW meeting tonight we were often left without answers to vital questions and during discussion period we were often hushed as tho we were children when the group decidedly did not agree with what was being said. We are passionate adults and have many VALID concerns.

Stop it now. You are not taking enough into consideration. It's an already failed plan. If you don't stop and pay attention, the plan will pass and chaos will ensue.

Strongly apposed to rezoning my neighborhood.

The plan will ensure a flood of people from Minneapolis to the suburbs. Council members state that eminent domain will not be used to seize properties but that rezoning will accomplish their goal in changing single family houses into multi unit and multi story apartment buildings and meet their goal.

This is a poorly thought out plan which will have many negative side effects. It is biased toward young, single potential future residents and against the current homeowners who have made this city desirable. And shame on the city council and city officials for the poor rollout. Many residents still are unaware of this 'plan' since they are not online 24/7 as your supporters are.

Re-do the plan.

I am very disappointed that this plan has not been widely publicized by the city. This week most people that I have talked either have not heard about it, or just heard about in the last week or two.

Opposed to the plan. It does not address affordable housing. Development/traffic and congestion is already having negative impact on neighborhoods and the parks/lakes. The plan is flawed on so many levels.
