You have children who are unable to sell products! In our case, I used to take things to work to sell, My husband & I are disabled now & don't have the resources as in the past. Plus, most factories don't allow this behavior or it could cause them to loose jobs! Schools need to be aware of the different circumstances now! Please make it equal for ALL students!

I agree with everything said in the other comments plus I must add this needs to be against the law because all the students should be allowed to have fun day just for having to listen and put up with all the mean and snotty nose children that have no raising and are the bullies in school and there is the children in every school so please reconsider including all the children in the fun day a the least ! Sincerely, Sherry Nix

I FEEL ALL CHILDREN SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND. SOME MAY NOT BE AS LUCKY AS OTHERS, IT IS VERY WRONG TO KEEP THE LESS FORTUNATE IN THE CLASSROOMS, WHILE THEIR CLASSMATES ARE OUTSIDE HAVING FUN.

I always buy from these fundraisers for my younger cousins who are very fortunate to have family members to buy from them so they can participate in the fun day at school. It has always laid heavy on my heart for the children who come from little and their parents or family members can not afford to buy anything. As a child advocate for children in foster care what do they do, sit in the classroom alone while everyone else plays at fun day? They are living in a new home with no adult family member, more than likely they feel left out. When they cannot sell these items and do not get to participate in a fun day they are also feeling left out. School should be a place where children from all backgrounds can come to and feel loved and included!! There has to be another way to be able to raise money but also allow children to have a fun day even if they need to be separate events!

Woodruff Schools should be ashamed of themselves for even thinking of doing something like this ,,let alone doing it in action. .. These children that did not or could do this fundraisin should not be punished. .. and that is what you did..Some have it hard enough at home, , they should never be to felt left out of something at school. .How embarrassing that might feel on some..Please change the way you go about this...SHAMEFUL..

No kid should be left out because their parents are making ends meet not giving money they don't have to the school and it is so hard to sell outside of house bc all my friends have kids too

In the past its been if they sell one item they can participate, now it's they can do the bounce house if they sell one item and do a number of fun activities if they sell $50 worth, I feel like they just keep making it harder on everybody.

Woodruff should be ashame of themselves. ..Some children has it bad enough at home. .. and to pointed and stood out to other students, ,, should not be acceptable in school. .They should bee made comfortable. ..so shame on you...

It is very unfair to the kids who's parents want let them sell. I always buy from the kids that approach me but , still you have the less fortunate one that are not allowed. They are enough sold from all the other kids for each of them to at least get to do they least reward.

This should go for all schools. Let all of those kids have "fun day". Sometimes, the ones who need it most are the ones that get left out.

I agree totally that these fund raisers DO NOT take into account the children's economic status and I feel that they use extremely overpriced items for the children to sell. I have 4 grandchildren and I try to buy from every one of them, but with the prices of the items, it's very difficult for me on a fixed income.

My grandkids go to district 1 and i think its ridiculous. No child should be left out because of something out of their control.

These fundraiser/fun day programs are extremely unfair to children who are not able to sell these items. Why should they be kept in the classroom simply because their family cannot afford to spend the money on foolishness. This just leaves them open to being bullied or makes them angry to the point of becoming a bully. DISTRICT 4 PTO, please rethink these fundraisers. Also, I have yet to find a parent who knows what the funds are used for. Additionally, I have seen students struggling to carry large, heavy boxes and already heavy book bags when these fundraiser products are delivered. THE ENTIRE PROJECT MAKES NO SENSE!

The rewards system is very unfair especially for the children who have family who can not afford to purchase from the fundraisers! It's also unfair for the families who may have more than one child at WPS! I think there are other ways to do fundraising!!!! One would be to sell less costly items and NEVER exclude a child on a "fun day" slide or bounce! Set a goal for the school and reward the entire school and reward all of the students! This is not the first time this has been brought to Woodruff Primary School's attention! I personally purchase every time I am asked to do so BUT I know not every student or their family can do so! Please address this issue ASAP!

Fundraising is not for all children. Some parents don't have time with working and other children to help with selling items. Some parents and family don't have the money. Don't punish the children for not selling anything or not selling enough. It's not fair to the child.
