I have never thought this was fair to any of the kids. Hoping it changes.

They should stick to awarding prizes and not use an activity as the prize. That's exclusion. I agree 100 percent.

I have never thought this kind of fund raising was right. If a child's family could not afford to buy the items then the kids are punished by not letting them participate in fun activities.

All of you just want something to complain about. These fundraisers are there to benefit your kids school. If you want your child to participate in the fun day then get off your complaining butt and help your child support their school. You yourself don't have to buy anything if you don't like the prices. Ask a family member, a church member, a neighbor. There are a lot kids out there that work their tail off to get the prizes that are offered. Those prizes are also offered to your child, you just don't want to put the effort in to it for them to have a chance to win as well. This no child left behind is blown out of proportion. What good will it do your child if everything is just handed to them? They will never know what it means to work for what they have or get and will never know what true appreciation is for what they have or get. Stop complaining, support your child and their school.

I agree all children should be a part of the "Funday" rewards regardless of how much they were able to sell in the fundraiser!!!

Finally, something can be done about this. It's wrong on so many levels.

NO CHILD SHOULD BE LEFT BEHIND PERIOD !!! ALL KIDS SHOULD BE TREATED EQUAL.!! I try to buy from the kids when they ask me to but you have some kids that has parents that will not let them sell cause they do not want to be bothered with the hassel of it.

I always buy so that my kids can attend fun day but what happens to the kids that can't afford to buy anything? I asked my 3rd and 6th grader and it's true the ones that don't see.... they have to sit in the classroom!! Maybe we should all just get our kids out early on the day of fun day and maybe it will open some eyes and changes will be made!!!

We already pay so much for that school. 50 for a obstacle course?!?! What do we pay taxes for. This is just another way to empty our pockets and fill yours. "No child left behind". Who ever runs this is the lowest of man. Some parents can't afford this crap!! We already spend our money on supplies and gas!!!

Sad state our country is in. A form of bullying in my opinion.

I wrote a letter to the previous principal condemning the practice as nothing more than bullying. She called me and said that she agreed with my concern but they needed to raise money.
