Over the last few seasons I have gotten to know Coach Powell. He is an excellent coach. We have very similar players on our teams & they can be tough to coach because there is so much else going on in their lives besides football. He chooses to address those issues head on & I truly believe that is why his players have so much respect for him. He has an excellent staff behind him who share the same vision for those children. It is very hard to find a coach who truly cares about the students first along with an entire staff that supports & follows his lead.

Retain Darren Powell as head coach. He should not be terminated for giving consent to let a kid play by school board athletic director. If he is terminated, Mr. Mark Baker needs to be terminated as well.

Coach Darren is more than just a coach he's a role model to kids at Dunbar. Always willing to help anyone with anything. He's really a father figure to kids at Dunbar. I feel that he should get a second chance and remain the head coach for Dunbar.

Coach Powell works excellent with and for the Dunbar Athletes. It would be extremely traumatizing for his athletes to replace him at this time. Please, consider the student athletes in your decision.. Thank you...
