Those players need him, not only as a coach but for the positive guidance. I'm speaking from experience, please revoke and bring him back.

This is injustice at its fullest. The one who did wrong should have been fired. I didn't know it's okay to condone bad behavior and allow someone in a higher position to make a fool out of our school system. Dayton Public Schools has become a disgrace and it starts with the board on down. This new superintendent needs to be fired. Too many great employees of the school system are resigning or getting fired. I believe it's to cover up all the wrong doings by the superintendent and her followers such as Mark Baker. It's sad to say that he's a fellow Dunbar alumni. He brings disgrace to the Wolverine family! I'm outraged by this horrible unjustified decision. You fire one fire al!!!

Dunbar has faced many challenges like this one since 2009 and years before that. Let the legacy be. The Powell family has been turning boys to men through this program for many many years, they need to continue coaching this team.

Coach Powell is a stand-up individual. I've known him for 12+ years and every challenge he's been met with, he's overcome. His students and players acknowledge that and they thrive off of it. His resilience is the reason why he and his staff has been able to coach young boys into young men and better men for our community. Review his track record and take into account how many young men he's been able to help groom into college between 2011-2017.

Getting Coach Powell back is only the first step. There will be a petition to remove the entire school board coming soon. We need to remove them, remove the superintendent and start with competent leadership.
Mark Baker should never have been given a 2 year contract extension.

I feel Coach Powell should remain head football coach for Dunbar. Coach Powell has touched alot of young lives through his hard work and dedication. Help shaping inner city and at risk youth is so important to our future. It would be a shame to discontinue is mission.

It's unfortunate so many people are suffering, especially our youth, behind a decision that doesn't fully make sense especially since the team and coach were forced to gracefully walk away from a chance of a lifetime for some regarding the ineligible player. Hopefully those in power/position to make this right will soon come around to see the bigger picture and do what's in the best interest of the team.
