This is just one example of onerous and costly environmental regulation based on pseudo-science. Academics pushing ideological agenda has become so common that establishment of an Office of Science Quality Assurance is a necessity for both our economy and environment.

We need checks and balances on the data our governments use to factor in their policy decisions.

As an Australian I believe we must protect the Great Barrier Reef as part of our natural heritage and not doing thorough investigation and independent, non-invested review of the proposed policy could be disastrous.

It is way past time that we stopped listening to the Greens about the Great Barrier Reef. They never know what they are talking about anyway, but they seem to get plenty of attention. Stop wasting money on the reef and help our struggling farmers. The Greens don't feed us, the farmers do.

Give our farmers a break!!! The reef, like our climate go in cycles, Stop trying to make out our farmers are environmental vandals. Nobody takes more care of our land than our farmers, certainly not our universities and so called scientists that rely on scare tactics for future funding.
