Being prior service army 1987 to 1997 I can recall how stressful a military move can be. I am a auto carrier in anchorage. I felt very honored to work with American logistics. international logistics pulled there contract from my company and gave it to the next low ball bidder. Its taking its toll on all our military in and outgoing. if it takes 12 transports to keep up with supply and demand for us, why would you give the freight to another company that only has 4 transports all together. That is just being set up for failure. I take 10 vehicles at a time to Fairbanks at minus 20 to 40 below. I separate my truck and trailor so i can fit in the shop so by morning a foot of snow and ice is melted off when i unload. thank you for letting serve you this last 3 years. And thank you American logistics

Rafael, we appreciated you big time, because you guys did a great job with car shipments. We only did international moves, and overall, the damages (what there were) didn't consist of much and the cars were always, always on time or early. We never had to wait. Found out our damage mentioned in my other comment was from the ports in Hawaii, lots of people trying to steal cars that came into the port, then disassemble and ship 'em in separate containers around to other parts of the island/Pacific area. So, we appreciated the former contractor, and fortunately, we retired last fall so we didn't have to ship again after this fiasco started! But, if people will let us know what is going on and how to formally complain, we will do more than just sign something online. Let's reinstate the former contractor!

Here's the problem: If we don't stand up for what's right, we'll all go by the wayside of the VA scandal. It's bad enough that the government and our leadership don't care, that the Cost of Living Allowance has been taken off of the retirement checks (better watch that one and vote with all of us, or we'll all have a big problem there, too!) but this is ridiculous! We know firsthand how it felt to ship our car to Hawaii a few years ago, then to wait and wait, only to receive the car with tons of damage, all broken into and the radio system had tried to be pried out of the car with a crowbar! Factory installed radio, too, nothing special. USAA tried to claim it "might have been original damage before shipping"--ugh! So, we fought part of that, but to get a car late, to have no wheels where you are, to be waiting on that to get to work and to start living in your new duty station, it's ridiculous to wait extra weeks and months for your car! And, hey, we've had some damage when picking up our cars before, usually small, but this all sounds like a nightmare. Cheaper isn't always better, America!

If giving them a chance is calling them and talking calmly and patiently to the agent ( there was no yelling, name calling or anything like that involved) and for them to repeatedly hang up on you like a child, I would say they have had their chance! Maybe if they are so frustrated working for this new company, maybe they could join the online petition as well!

Today is my 3 week overdue mark. I'm happy that I have up to 1 year to file my travel voucher with the Air Force but not sure if I will have my truck back. I have my emailed congress and will again make my weekly call.

Um.... IAL's corporate credit cards are being denied by Avis/Budget who is supposed to be handling this so called paid rental. I want to know who is working 17 hours a day. It sure isn't anyone I've attempted to call from 0800-1700....

Hello everybody, since i've been reading all the comments for days back and forth I wanted to leave a comment as well. I have known many of the workers from the previous company and have always admired how supportive they where for our soldiers, spouses and families. They have always been helpful and understanding, even though some customers where probably not prepared like they where briefed too. They where not only there in their usual business hours but also in their "freetime"! Overhours where never a problem for all of them just to support our troops!Of course all of you know that and would like to say thank you to all the people that have been working for the previous company, right?! So let me tell you something. Some of the previous workers, kept working for the new company. Not only to not get unemployed but also to keep helping YOU to get your vehicles shipped to the destination port. They have loved their jobs and still do, so they want to give the new company a chance as well to be supportive for all of you like it has been for many years. So maybe one of you can answer my question: "Why should they stop doing their job like they used to just because its another name on their tags?" Of course it is never easy to start off at a new and trust me, I know! Probably all of you know. People in there (dont wanna name a special VPC) are working 17 hours a day, but of course no one of you can see that. They are doing everything possible to ship your car in time and get you back on the road asap. Even if your car does not get to the destination port, they are offering you an alternative in a "payed" rental car! They are not even having lunch breaks or times with their families at the moment!!! Maybe we should all think about how hard it is first and how long the lights are staying on in there before we speak out loud and trying to "blast them out on facebook or any other social media"! Please give them a chance. They are doing their very best to g

I shipped my car in 28 May 2014 and my RDD was 12 July today is 6 June and no answer via phone, or email and car yet. if you guys are getting lawyers please let me know I really want in. We should get reimburse for all our expenses, from rental to gas and lodging. that's the least the company should do for us.

In the same boat with Matt. Shipped our van 23 May with an RDD of 10 July. Their tracking website said it didn't even get to Bremerhaven until mid June and wasn't even at the port by the RDD. When we can get ahold of IAL customer service they give us verying and conflicting excuses. It was supposedly held up in customs for almost a month which I find hard to believe since the vehicle we paid to ship (via TransGlobal) got through Houston customs in just a couple days in Early July and met its RDD with no issue. It's now been supposedly waiting for a truck to take it to Dallas for almost a week. This is beyond ridiculous!!

I know. I've been calling them for a few weeks now as well. I'm starting to believe that nobody actually works there and all our cars were shipped somewhere else and sold. I'm about to call the cops this week to report it stolen.

Try going through Trans Global Auto Logisitics http://www.tgal.us/contact-us?jssCart=6099fb4e1d5920b514dc24844941cb19 I contacted them via email and within a day I had an email from my Germany 'lead' where he was able to give me shipping container #, ship name, etc... Needless to say, I shipped my car 1 May (first day of the contract) and I STILL do not have mine. They keep pushing the delivery date back week-by-week. Next week will be a month of rental car that IAL is paying. My original Estimated Delivery Date was 15 June. Here we are at 2 August and I still don't have my car.

Shipped my car on 28MAY with a required delivery date (RDD) of 10JUL. IAL website says the car has been at the port awaiting shipment to final destination since 28JUN. It's now 1AUG and there is still no word on my car. I've called IAL every day for the past 3 weeks and have only gotten a customer service representative once (and she said she couldn't find my car in the computer). I've left dozens of voicemail messages and sent multiple e-mails with zero response. The company essentially refuses to communicate with its customers. I'm at a loss for what the next step is, but this is causing significant hardship on my family. There's no way I'd rent a car under the promise that IAL is going to reimburse me; they can't even answer the phone or find my car in the computer.

Matt, sorry to hear all the problems this new contractor is causing all military members, from all branches. As an ex-employee of the previous contractor, if this would of happened on my watch? Just one car i would of being fired on the spot, never the less these incompetent people are getting away with numerous contract violations. And yes! Iam now unemployed due to the loss of this contract, and its not just me but hundreds of hard working people that know how to treat our military with the dignity and respect they deserve.
