In response to CLRGs official statement regarding the Russian Conflict, this petition calls to revoke the decision to prevent Russian Irish dancers from competing at all CLRG feisanna until further notice and to terminate contracts with Russian enterprises for all registered events worldwide. A people re not their government. The Russian people are living under a dictatorship, where they are tortured, imprisoned and murdered for opposing the official state narrative. Many Russian people have spoken out in their condemnation of the invasion of the Ukraine.

While CLRG may have had honourable intentions regarding wanting to condemn the situation in Ukraine, this decision is neither fair nor reasonable or proportionate to ordinary Russian citizens who happen to be Irish dancers/businesses who are involved in running feisanna. They have worked hard to qualify for the World Championships 2022, with the last 2 having been cancelled due to Covid19 pandemic and for the enterprises, this is another devastating loss of income after very few feisanna being held in the last 2 years, due to the pandemic. Irish culture has always been about being fair and inclusive and as a nation, Ireland understands more than others, the impact of discrimination against its people. We appeal to the humanity and better judgement of the CLRG to overturn this decision and allow all Russian dancers to compete at both the World Championships 2022 and all subsequent feisanna going forward.

Not agree with dictatorship and other staff, but in general - yes. If you are unpolitical in your own code fo conduct, then you should be "off the grid". Otherway - change your code :)

Discrimination against Russian dancers and enterprises will not stop Putin's war. Most dancers I know have spoken out against this war.

We are not a political organization. Let dance connect humanity in times of war not divide us.

Russian Dancers and Irish Dance enthusiasts should not be punished for their corrupt government's poor decisions. Please direct your punishments at the government, not the people, and rescind this ban.

I feel strongly that children should never be punished for the actions of their governments, by CLRG, regardless of where those dancers may reside.

If the CLRG wants to stand up to injustice, they can start by rescinding their statement. Punishing innocent dancers who also want peace is cruel and unwarranted

The people & businesses of Russia should not be punished for the actions of their government! It's disgusting & inappropriate. Despite CLRG's statement, there are NO good intentions behind this unethical ban of Russian dancers!
