These changes should have had parental input from the start and not just dropped on everyone 2 weeks before school.

This dress code is horrible. Freshman should not be singled out for an entire year. The other grades should not be told they can't wear blue. I have no problem with wearing "class of" shirts for spirit days. My kids have graduated but, as a parent, I find this dress code outrageous.

How does this justify anything? Our education is more important than dress code. By making the freshmans wear only one color polo shirt, that seperates them from the rest of the student body. Also, many of the kids who been there for so many years have already collected many t-shirts because they find polo shirts uncomfortable to wear for more than one or two days. Getting to only weaar it one day will force parents to buy polo shirts. This is on such a short notice. There is little time buy the outfit that is necessary for school. Hhow do you that some students will not make a gang and use the outfit you designed for us as their signature color and/or sign? We already have enough problems with the gang affliction that is happening here, Last thing we need is for another gang to be created and we be blamed as the cause of it. For once, we could actually be given the opportunity to wear 1/2 length shorts. Guys can only wear pants while girls get to wear capris and pants. if you enable this, this will thus bring equality for both of us. I understand if the shorts can't be cargo, but allowing us to have 1/2 shorts will allow us to have some freedom. Honestly, you shouldn't limit it even more than it was 4 years ago. If you value dress code more than education, then what is the point of being teachers and principals? What is the point of even having the school open if we're not going to be taught anything? It will be ultimately pointless to change the dress code in short notice. Not many paarents can pay for this. It's just sad

Here is to changing the dress code for ERHS. Almost 1000 signatures. Hoping this shines a light for our children who we are proud of in today's society that even want to go to school and not drop out. They should be rewarded for their dedication and will power to finish their high school education. They are not in a reform school and should be given a chance to be themselves. Yes there should be limitations on what is and is not acceptable as jeans with holes or vulgar shirts. But a child wearing a pair of jeans and a regular shirt is not going to interfere with learning. #prayforEastRidge

Keep how the union form are. This shouldn't be happening under short notice. What we shouldn't have to pay these school fees and we have to spend out more and more money. School fees can go on a shirt or a pair of pants.

Some people can't afford these changes right now under short notice. I really think the school dropped the ball on this one. I have 3 kids going to this school. As I see alot of people is affected about this union form issue

I don't think freshman should be limited to just navy. It's bad enough that the School limits to just orange, gray, and white. Plus some parents are on a fixed budget, and have already bought school clothes. They shouldn't be able to change the dress code so close to the start of school.

Sure, let's segregate the most commonly bullied grade in the school by marking them with a certain color. Sure let's make families who may have already bought clothes and are on a fixed budget spend more. As a parent I stand with the students who believe this is unfair and hope that the powers that be see fit to change this.

We don't need a dress code were all mature enough to decide what's wrong and what's right don't punish us for their stupidity

I think the extreme nature of the new revisions are not only singling out certain children due to grade, but insighting a very communistic take on individuality of our children. If I wanted my children to be just like everyone else I would raise them at home that way myself...not really a decision the school should be making.

This is ridiculous! Get rid of only navy polos for the freshman! Stop singling them out!

The freshman should not be singled out! It's a hard enough year for them & now this puts a bullseye on their backs for bullying. Also the staff needs to adhere to the same policy as the kids! We've spent a lot of money on spirit shirts & now they can't wear them during the week? This is insane.
