I think we should have the privilege to wear what we would like. It's a headache to wake up every morning deciding on what your going to wear cause you wore the same thing the other day. And wearing what you'd like makes you feel confident in your self.

This is ridiculous. Has anyone noticed that the schools in this district that are admirable for their education are the ones that don't implent a dress code. If anything I was hoping that the dress code would relax this year, not come with more stringent rules. Screw this system. My children have earned a lot of their spirit shirts, one day a week will take a whole semester to get through their collection.

what does dress code have to do with our education? if anything this will have a negative impact because the students will go to school pissed off because of what they are forced to wear and will not want to do anything in class. fix this nonsense.

Like its just silly, Students have a right to express themselves, unless your coming to school with a giant rainbow afro, or a offensive T-shirt, theres NOTHING distracting about "Street Clothes".Other schools around us are perfectly fine without a Dress Code, so what makes our school so special?

The new, stricter dress code is ridiculous. Many parents have already bought new school clothes for the year. And many others have spirit shirts, not polos. Polos are simply uncomfortable and overpriced. You give free lunch for those that cannot afford it, but you change the dress code 2 weeks before school begins leaving hardly any time for students to replace their other school clothes? East Ridge is more concerned about the students appearance rather than their education. For myself, and many other students, wearing polos will be uncomfortable and leave me to being self conscious, as I hate the way polos look on me. Which in the end will effect me paying attention to my work in class, I'll be paying attention to how uncomfortable I feel. We're told to express ourselves, but how can we when we're confined to such strict dress codes. Normally I am the person to quietly stand in the back, but this is absolutely ridiculous and I will not stay quiet about this! Students should be allowed to be comfortable in their clothes, and express themselves in an appropriate manner. However, this dress code is leading many to feeling uncomfortable and forced to look a certain way that doesn't benefit them, but only create more problems.

This is another form of bullying coming from the high school itself

This is such bs there is no reason for this like really change all this bs 15 days before school that's not right

There's no justification as to why we should have a harsh dress code like this. It's repressing our sense of self expression. Making dress code more strict is only going to worsen things. We're already restricted enough.
