I know there is reasonibg behind this system, but they the high school has decided to implement this system is inconsiderate of others. Nevertheless, Im sure this new system wont make it to the next school year.

I haven't worn a polo since freshmen year and they are very uncomfortable and tight fitting . This was to late of a notice. We already had strict dress code and now it's just getting out of hand .

Luckily I do not have a child that attends or will ever attend ERHS. What works for 1 school does NOT mean it will work for others. If a polo and khaki style pants is what is deemed as the dress code so be it....No sagging, belts, tennis shoes, and no hooded jackets, even the dang clear backpacks ok I get that dress to impress, but targeting the freshman to ONE specific color is wrong and discriminatory, why allow the upper class man to have multiple colors and the newest, youngest, and most nervous and scared children already only 1 color never mind their size BULLYING will happen more than ever due to the fact that you will now be able to spot the lowest grade level out from across the football field none the less in the hallways. If you are going to classify the 1 specific color for freshmen then all 4 grade levels should have a specific color hello!!! If you want to raise school moral taking spirit shirts away is just another way to say who cares. These kids should be able to wear school pride shirts any day of the week and be able to take pride in where they go and not "oh you go to that school" SHAME SHAME!!!! I do know that each individual school administration holds what their school dress code is.. In everyday life people can not be responsible for others actions SO if there are a few, several.many students that do not and have not been following the prior school dress code then bring havoc on them and their guardians DO NOT make everyone pay for their mistakes simply because you admin. can!!!! If 1 parent of a child that is a freshman holds to it and screams law suit I bet they would have some changes!!!!

I hate wearing a polo plus now changing, so we can only wear ERHS shirts on Friday only just makes the situation worse.

This is WAY too late in the summer to change the dress code so drastically. Most of everyone has already bought their school clothes. And it is true a lot of students feel insecure about themselves in polos because they are very fitting and uncomfortable and way over priced. I see no problem with us purchasing spirit shirts and wearing them as long as they say EAST RIDGE. What's gonna distract me from my education is the uncomfortable clothes I'm wearing.

This is ridiculous! A 2 week notice, that's all we get? We already have a dress code, why change it now and make it even more strict when must local high schools don't have a dress cide
