It has drastic effect on student community at IIT Kharagpur. In these hard times when parents of majority might struggle to earn a livelihood and at same time this fee demand by institute is creating a negative impact on parents about institution.
Please look into this matter and come up with better solution in favour of students.

It's unfair to take fee for mess because we are not even eating that food. Even though you have decided to take some fee it should be fair enough to take less than total mess fee. And you are conducting classes on online , students barely keep attention to those classes and mostly we won't even attend class . So it looks like we are paying high fees and getting less knowledge with paying less attention.

Why to pay gymkhana ,brotherhood ,and other charges in this pandemic situation. Many of us are from rural background and does not have normal economic situations.Reduce the fees

It's not the right way.
We can't pay fee in this situation. We went under bpl dude to this pandemic. Many people are from poor background.
And many are from Villages who doesn't has proper internet connection.so we can't attend online classes. Please find some alternative for us.

In this uncertain situations where so many people are suffering due to lack of economic activity, the Administration should not charge for facilities the students won't be availing like mess fees, hostel rents etc . Kindly reduce the fees as in situations like this cooperation from all ends is necessary.
