I pay $50 a month for my phone and I can't use it? Not even to call my family during important times.

Sometimes all of the computers are occupied during school, and our phones are a great way to continue with our class work. Last year we used to use our phones in shop all the time to log into google classroom, google docs, google slides, etc.

Students should be able to use their phones during down time. Punish the kids who use it inappropriately. Taking phones away completely not only punishes the kids who use them appropriately but also doesn't teach the kids how to use their phones appropriately in society. Teaching them phone etiquette will serve them well in the years to come.

The use of phones during school allows students more access to information for research , as well as helping with kids focus during "silent work time" some kids cannot concentrate with no noise so allowing phones will let them get work done while they to listen to music if permites by the school board and teachers.

I feel as if the phone usage rule should be lifted. Not just me but the majority of the school. This is not because students want to joke around and not pay attention but to have a little freedom in the school day and would only be for after class purposes.

We shouldn't be told to put our phones away unless its only in a classroom because people are always gonna use there phones in the hallways, the cafeteria, the library and anywhere else. Also if the school is a PUBLIC school shouldn't it follow the laws of our PUBLIC society, we have laws for reasons and there are no laws saying we aren't aloud to use our phones in other buildings and to put them away when were eating and/or socializing. I see the reason to not use them in the classroom because were learning but seriously in the cafeteria and hallways that WAY OVER EXCESSIVE.

I was a student at Worcester Tech and I would stay after for clubs. At the clubs I use my phone to keep track of time and to text my ride. This rule makes things hard for anyone to stay after and to get a ride.

We should be able to use our phones during appropriate times for example lunch. I don't see why kids that do good and follow the rules like myself are being punished.
