We should be able to use our phones at the appropriate times. There is no reason for such a strict rule about something that can help us

I honestly think this phone policy just needs to stop! The school community Thanks giving up cell phone is going to help the students approve in school and classes but really it's not helping because the students use their cell phones as a tool for school for example some students but use it for a calculator if they don't don't have one, some students might be using the internet for looking up a word that they could not find in a dictionary so they use there phone as a tool to look up the word. So students also use it for studying and preparing for a test. The student should always have there cell phone with them just in case of a emergency. Because I really had a family Emergency so my mom called the office so she can talk to me right away but the lady in the office put my mom on hold for 30 minutes, my mom was so bad so she called me on my cell phone, did she told me what happened then I just walked out of my school building. My family was more important then school it's self. I think it's ridiculous how we cant use our cell phones during lunch, break or study hall that's our free time because study hall is actually a free period. because this policy needs to stop, some students arw having a really hard time because their cell phones help them in school, and help them concentrat.
I think what is also ridiculous is the teachers should not have the right to go look through your phone that is invading the students privacy, for example the teachers should not have the right to look at your photos, text messages, or your social media. That's going to far. I also don't think the teachers should have the right to take your phone away, they should not have the right to touch your property and your personal items, because they do not pay your phone bill if the cell phone do not belong to the teacher they should I have the right to touch it. This rule just needs to stop!!!

Phones are not only excellent devices that can be used for learning. But they also solve problems like shortage of books, projects online and others.

It doesn't make sense that on our breaks and lunches times that are free time for us we are not allowed to use electronics

Most of my school work includes the use of my phone. I should be able to have my phone during lunch and breaks.

This whole "no cell phone rule" is starting to get on my nerves especially at lunch time when they wouldn't let us use it either. I'm signing this petition because to me and the students believe it's unfair and I'm willing to give them back their phones no matter what.

In this generation High School students are required to use technology for everything. And let's say we are in a study hall period, we should be allowed to use our device, especially if it's for school work. We shouldn't have any worry as if to whether or not it'll be taken away, even at lunch or during breakfast break. We aren't causing any harm towards anybody by using our phones. It's how we do a lot of our research now so there shouldn't be an issue.

Since this is a new generation and technology has become a part of the way we live our daily lives, there really shouldn't be a problem with using phones and other devices during lunch and free periods. It's not a distraction to anyone and there is no reason for having our phones taking away for using them at said times.

Students should be able to use their phones during their free periods. It isn't harming anybody. And if a class allows you to use your phone for assignment based reasons then it shouldn't be an issue. Technology is being improved in our schools and students AND teachers keep in contact with each other through these devices.

I fully support this petition because I believe phones and other electronic devises are a resource and tool that students should have access to during their own time in the school day.
