Does not make sense for these alerts to follow the precedence of amber alerts where a getaway vehicle is required. There is no reason to assume a missing elderly person would have access to a car

Not only is this so important, it is absolutely necessary. So many seniors with dementia and other memory issues don’t drive at all. Many of them do walk, wandering from the safety of their own yards or from a store, easily becoming confused and unaware of their surroundings. Please revise this system of alerting the public to the needs of these seniors who need us

We need to protect our seniors and advocate for them. The tragedy that happened to Danny DeHaven should never happen again. No family should have to live through that. Please change the law.

No individual nor family should have to endure the suffering that Daniel F. DeHaven and his family did. To not be able to utilize all available resources in the face of a life threatening situation for another human being is an atrocity. Help us help those who can't help themselves.

Please make all Seniors eligible for Silver Alert. This was a tragic loss of life and he may have lived if had been eligible for Silver Alert.

I followed Mr. Dehaven's story very closely because my mother also has Alzheimer's. I am not a resident of MD, but state lines are meaningless if my mother, who lives in the District, goes missing. Please update this policy to include missing seniors on foot. It might have saved Mr. Dehaven's life!

There should have been a Silver Alert broadcast for Daniel DeHaven.
I support this. RIP Danny!
