I was shocked Silver Alert doesn't cover those on foot. If the purpose of the program is to save lives, then why on earth are these folks excluded.

As many seniors with dementia or Alzheimers go missing while walking, as often they have stopped driving. Since the Silver Alert only addresses those driving, it is imperative that it also include those who go missing on foot.

Many people with dementia wander away on foot and it would be wonderful if the silver alert program were expanded to include those persons in that situation.
