Not unbelievable once you realize it’s the HSE/state that we are dealing with!

Our system needs to change these outdated attitudes

This simply needs to change.

Move with the times, there are do many disabilities that require HSE help.

So many disabilities that affect lives which are not recognised. So sad

They told us blindness is a full time disability

Really think thid scheme needs to be reviewed I totally suppirt this petition

This is not a simple black & white issue. U have to understand the equipment that goes with our children, the lifting in and out of kids into cars because they can’t step into car themselves just to name but a few

Change is definitely required.

We have tried but failed. Appealed and were told our son needed to be missing an arm or leg or arm & leg or be a dwarf. I see and know so many people that don't fit this criteria with primary medical certs but they obviously have contacts. One such person told me a 'girl in the office' got it for her, another person got it because he had a heart bypass. How u fair is that for struggling families

The criteria for a certificate needs to reflect reality. It should be based on a person's needs and not discriminatory criteria.

Time for a real change

I have a daughter with cerebral palsy. I recieve half rate carers as her carer.I was told that I neednt apply as her disability is not severe enough. I dont feel that this is good enough .

It should include lack of self safety awareness of some kind

Stop making disabled lives harder.
