I often wait for the UPS truck. When I see him come up here I drive my packages over to him. Often meeting in the middle of the road. We both can safely drive past each other, so if you have an issue you need your license revoked.

And if you have driving issues, maybe it is time to take your license away.

Great! Glad you guys took the time to research it. No one here is parking in a manner that interferes with the use of the right-of-way, the safe flow of traffic, or obstructs the view of other drivers. I am glad we came to an agreement that the parking regulations are pointless and against the city ordinances! The goal isn't to eliminate street parking in general, just on specific streets. It doesn't really matter how you decide to word it, that is still eliminating street parking. I find it humorous that you think that it is everyone else not being a good neighbor. If you have an issue with people parking on the side of the road, move to a private neighborhood. These roads are public roads, and preventing others from using them as PUBLIC ROADS makes you a bad neighbor.

The homeless camp is in the trees on the road you wish people to park on.

**No person shall park a vehicle in a manner which interferes with use of the right-of-way, the safe flow of traffic or obstructs the view of other drivers. (WC)** This is not happening anyway.

Apologies - top of Thrush is the issue, not Wren.

I do. Thanks for your inquiry. Would I be here if I didn't? What an odd comment. To reiterate - parking has been researched by the advisory group. The ordinance states, not the least of which reads **No person shall park a vehicle in a manner which interferes with use of the right-of-way, the safe flow of traffic or obstructs the view of other drivers. (WC)** The number of cars at the top of Wren alone would easily be seen as an **interference** by an objective observer.

They do not own the streets, and cannot and should not be trying to. I talked to an officer who advised me that they cannot make me move my car. The roads are not the HOA's property. If someone is doing something illegal they can call and an officer will come and talk to whoever is the offender. Even when they came for me when I parked my car in the wrong direction, the officer didn't give me a ticket. He didn't even give me a warning. He actually laughed about it. Do you even live in this community, Derek? Nobody knows who you are.

I asked the HOA what authority they had to tell me where to park on a city street. This was her reply. Note that they are only requesting this. Courtney Schwartz A DAY AGO Hello, The HOA has no authority over public street parking. There is a request to have homeowners utilize their garage and driveway but the only enforcement can come from the City of Beaverton. Thank you!

This has been researched by the advisory group. The ordinance states, not the least of which reads **No person shall park a vehicle in a manner which interferes with use of the right-of-way, the safe flow of traffic or obstructs the view of other drivers. (WC)** But no one is looking to override anything. This is a misconception put forth by a few who have not taken the time to participate and/or understand what is being asked. The goal is not to eliminate street parking. However, appealing to people to follow the rules when it's clear they are willing to ignore the ones they don't care for seems pointless in my opinion. Rather we must be subjected to unhelpful snarkiness. Unwilling to be a good citizen/neighbor and compromise. So steps must be taken to address the situation. Simple.

Incorrect. I won't name her. She goes to school with my kid. We know the family.

There are no 5th graders that I see on this list. Also the 5 from the same household haven't all signed yet.

HOA rules should not override a city ordinance and the street is common area. It is unreasonable to make requirements about where people are allowed to park on a city street, just follow the rules and regulations of city streets.

Oh Derek… Don’t overexert your autonomic nervous system, stress is no good for you. It will all be okay. The life will go on, all the troubles will pass. Feel free to use our sauna, it might help with the nerves.

"How in the world is it more of a safety hazard than having to back out of your driveway, potentially running a kid over?" - Easy. Infinitely more difficult to exit your driveway when it's flanked by two+ other parked cars. The likelihood of accident due to lack of visibility goes up. And there are a ton of kids up on that part of the street. Recall family safety was a main concern of yours. Has that changed now? "Also, a large part of the community clearly disagrees with you, so I think it's unfair to say the community as a whole believes this. The only reason it's a nuisance is a portion of you are complaining about it. Otherwise there actually really would be no problem." - Its not clear at all you hold the majority opinion on this issue. Two signees are from the same house that started this mess by insisting on having a sauna in their garage. 5 additional signees are from the same household, one of which is a 5th grade girl who cannot even drive. Pardon me if I think the 30 or so folks who have signed do not fully represent the "majority" of people living here. This is not complaining. This is a request to respect existing rules and regulations. You have made clear you have no intent in doing so, so that you may continue as you have. Which is a nuisance to all. Which, whether you choose to accept or not, are in violation of the CCRs as written. "As far as it being an eyesore, I guess I just disagree with that. I don't think it adds or detracts from the community's looks, but I can see where you are coming from with that." - It looks awful. Full stop.

And it's not clear at all you hold a majority opinion. 5 of the signers are from the same house, one of which is a 5th grader and cannot drive. Two also hailing from the same house that sytarted this whole mess by insisyting on having a sauna in their garage.

Additionally would LOVE to see your data indicating that eliminating unnecessary street parking REDUCES home values.
