Dispirited to learn of the name change. AGS is a well-known and respected name in education. Whilst we all owe a thanks to the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, the school doesn’t need rebranding to feature their name. The school name may have evolved over time, but there are data and records for AGS that employers can reference. Current and new pupils in particular will be disadvantaged by this new and uninspiring name that nobody recognises.

If Mr Hickey is so convinced of change do an anonymous parent/pupil poll. Pupils value history, hard work - don't rash it and spend the money more wisely on things that benefit pupils.

This is the most ridiculous name
Adams Grammar School is already a strong brand with a huge amount of equity.

Some things just need to be left alone. Pupils work hard to attend a ‘Grammar School’, this seems to devalue all of that hard work.

Why? What are the advantages of this ridiculous name change? Adama Grammar school brings so much to our town and our children who strive to obtain a place at this prestigious school as it is recognised as a grammar.Leave the name as it is.

Someone has too much time on their hands. Leave it as is. The suggested new name is terrible anyway!

The Grammar School element of the name has been there prominently in the school's history and is one AGS should be proud of.
Regardless, there is no need for a change - rebranding to no meaningful end.
i prefer the old name

Change for the sake of change.
Don't try and mend it if it isn't broken.
