I have family and friends who would utilize this policy and I am still not in favor. I wouldn't allows my teenage son to use a women's restroom just as I would never use a men's restroom. This opens the door for so much wrong doing!

This is quite possibly the dumbest thing that Washington state has ever done. AND WITHOUT ANY SAY FROM THE PEOPLE. You think we're going to allow this atrocity to stand you couldn't be more wrong! Not only does this endanger several women and young girls, but it encourages stalkers, pedophilloic behavior and basically gives rapists and other men with lust in their hearts an open invitation to invade women's privacy! This is unacceptable and should be canned immediately. P.s. FIRE THE IDIOT(S) WHO THOUGHT THIS POLICY WAS A GOOD IDEA. The rights to Life, Liberty and The pursuit of happiness for individuals of the United States should not EVER be allowed to cross lines such as these.

We must overturn this WAC for the safety and decency of the majority.

Need to put the needs of children and women above the needs of adult men who could be potentially dangerous.

I do not agree with opening up the women's bathroom to men. I understand what the thought process was behind it, but this policy was not thought through enough to keep women and children safe. This is also an infringement on privacy.

Would really love to see safety of children come back to bathrooms and locker rooms.

This is such an asinine law! It needs to be REPEALED!!!! As a woman, I'm APPALLED to think of people in men's bodies sharing the restroom, no matter what sex they "think" they are!

This law makes bathrooms unsafe for woman and girls! Any man can use gender as an excuse to enter. It has already happened in Canada, that women have been exploited, because of their similar law.

I am very, very concerned about the Washington State Human Rights Commission's new "Bathroom Mandate." As a woman as well as a mother with young children, I request that this mandate be altered to give more protections to the women and children of this state and less protections and loopholes to sexual predators. I have seen the discomfort of little girls at having even a seven year old boy in the locker room after swimming lessons. I can only imagine how they would have felt if an older person with a biologically male body were to be present, let alone changing in front of them. While the feelings and protections of true transgender and intersex individuals are important and worthy of protection, please do not compromise the safety and comfort of a much large section of the population, all women and girls. That the mandate gives no discretion to public schools is a particularly large concern, as these institutions are tasked with the care and guidance of so many children. Please protect our children.

Although I believe that true transgender people would never harm anyone else, this policy is completely an invasion of privacy (as women and mothers, it should be my choice when and if myself or my children are exposed to a male anatomy), an open door for predators (those who would pose as a transgender to gain access for sick purposes), and a blatant attack on free speech (to be able to ask questions when necessary). To offer a private restroom to the 90% to accomodate the 5% in public is absolutely insane and unacceptable. Have the 5% use designated gender neutral changing rooms but leave the designated "men's" and "women's" locker rooms as they are.
