Help me understand why it costs $2 mill to change school times...every year? It seems to me that the BOE should be more concerned about protecting our budget from wasteful spending. Let’s not cut the vitals for a little extra sleep. My 4 kids, all attending RPS are not in favor and neither am I with that kind of price tag. We can do better.

Taxpayer whose 2 kids went through BES, ERMS, RHS. Put the money into curriculum, not buses and consultants.

Listen to the parents, students, and teachers! Keep the start times as they are. Stop wasting money that could be used in classrooms, or to provide paraprofessional help in studies that push a decision the majority doesn’t want.

Tax payer RHS- for two girls currently.. I do not believe that this overall will benefit the town or my children. I have/had three children that ran 3 seasons of track and I am very concerned for their safety running later- getting home later and staying up later. I believe the town needs to have a special vote- for a $2 million price tag that many in the town are against- seems wrong on so many levels. Writing letters and posting on FB- is not helping the board see that many of us do not want to keep to a plan that is ill planned. We are not ready for this type of change and the community as whole is not on board.
