This is for ALL of you only thinking of only yourselves and your wallets....from a medical standpoint YES this is to benefit the children-you are all missing the point here! Without getting into all the medical nomenclature these kids NEED a minimum of 8-10 hours of sleep-adolescents do BIOLOGICALLY have a different “clock” as part of puberty! Give me a break about the excuse of “they will have to stay up later to complete HW” or....”we all did it” -immature selfish thinking folks-sorry to say! -Mom of elementary school children

Changing the start times do not take into consideration working parents schedules, it does not take into consideration students after school commitments or the fact that they will now have to stay up later to do their schoolwork. Explain to me how they get more sleep if they now need to stay up late to complete assignments? We have all managed to live with these start times for decades. Let's not fix something that is not broken.

The true negative impact of this policy was not communicated to the public.

This will have a serious negative impact on the quality of life for RHS and the rest of town.

Before making a decision I would need to see full picture at same time to make an informed decision. I would need costs, start time and end time of the day to see if I agree with it. Tax payer. Next year will have SMS, SES

How does a vocal minority dictate policy to a majority who disagrees with said change?

Please stop spending money on all these SSL studies and stop increasing taxes. A day will still be 24 hours even if school starts later, so everything will just shift later. Parent of 1 RHS student and 1 BMES student.

Waste of money. HS students will just stay up later if start time is later. If parents are concerned about their student getting more sleep they should work on getting their student to bed earlier not change the schedule for and create problems for everyone else in town.
