UT frequently does things that make me embarrassed/disappointed/frustrated. This tops the list.

We understand you're trying to woo new students to UT...but you don't do it at the expense of those who have been most loyal to you.

Why change the priority system? It is logical that seniors gain precedence over juniors etc. I understand the need for freshman housing but, do not de value the committed students who have put in a tremendous amount of time, money, effort and loyalty to this school.

All students here at UT should sign this to make our voices heard.

Everyone deserves the same treatment, college is a challenge all the way thru. It doesn't matter if your a first semester freshman or a senior entering there last year.

My child is a sophomore at University of Tampa. We rely on financial and student loans to get her through college. Apartments require out of pocket money, which we do not have an excess of for this situation. As most colleges, upperclassmen have priority for issues like housing. My daughter never had priority for her first two years of housing. If you have too many incoming students and not enough housing, don't accept an overabundance of students!

Housing should be based on seniority and credits earned. This is unfairly treating the upperclass students who are dedicated to and invested in this school!!

Seniors should have seniority and some kind of privilege when it comes to housing. It only makes sense.

How is it fair for the students that have invested the most in this school because they have lived on campus the longest get the short end of the stick? I lived in HoJo my freshman year and I ended up just fine.

saw the article The Minaret posted about the policy. I'm a commuter and I already feel ostracized from the UTampa community. The way they treat us with parking and now upperclassmen with housing is upsetting. Really wish I would've gone somewhere else.

I've paid two years of tuition so far, freshman have only paid one. Why should they get priority over me for anything?

Many of our international students and international student athletes don't have cars . Car insurance runs 5,000 to 8,000. Athletes have early morning workouts and practices. Not having housing for them would be crazy.

This policy is why I left UT. It causes the general student population to suffer, which is a shame, since UT could be another Harvard of the South if it wasn't so scummy.
