I'm very disappointed to hear about this new policy. One of the reasons why I chose UT was the guarantee of on-campus housing all 4 years. Perhaps UT should first limit the amount of applicants they accept each year BEFORE punishing those who have dedicated so much time and money to the school.

Before this change in policy, I was planning on living on campus all four years because I love the community and involvement on campus. I hope that in the future, I still will be able to live on campus. The housing options for seniors was part of the reason I decided to come to UT. I can neither afford living off campus or the transportation needed, and I have absolutely no desire to live in a hotel during the most important years of my education.

I understand that the effort to keep all the freshmen on campus is to decrease the freshmen transfer and drop out rate but shouldn't the school also be concerned about retaining the students that they've had for three plus years?

This is crazy your currently loyal students don't take priority. Maybe you should stop making the situation worse by admitting more students than you have housing for! Seems easy to me!

I would like to be guaranteed housing like I was when I decided to come to this school. I'm an athlete and living on campus is important to me.

As a parent I am not sure I will allow my daughter to return to school if campus housing is not available. The housing was one of the main reasons that we chose your school It provided a safe environment in which to learn all four years

I think its a bad taste to put in someone's mouth when they leave. Like give them the worst option as a senior so they have a bad attitude leaving UT.

I am a parent paying tuition and fees to UT. As someone working to pay tuition and fees I find it unacceptable that the student body and Student Government were not involved in the process of creating a solution. If the School can not handle the new number of students enrolling then maybe they need to become more selective to reduce the incoming freshman class until they can build enough housing to accommodate the freshman class size they wish to have.
