This development in an AONB is not in the public interest. it is ugly and will be very visible particularly when lit at night. Plenty of opportunity to find or build a house in an area that does not impact on this beautiful coastline.

A nighttime only build on the coastguard station a partial conversion of it into a luxury tourist apartment is also underway according to builders and Rame residents! Engineers were also upgrading the wi fi next to the new huge caravan park as well. The Rame Head theme park is well underway. Just need a motorway to connect it to the M25 now.

I am shocked at the development being allowed on Rame Head. My family has owned a chalet at Freathy since the 1930's and have battled with the prejudices of the Caradon Planning Dept over the years. We have strict Article 4 planning restrictions as the area is designated AOGLV. These councillors have not considered the impact on neighbouring cliff dwellers as it seems grossly unfair.

This area is an outstanding,
A dwelling here will be a blot the landscape. Cornwall Council need investigation as the procedure looks dodgy to say the least.

This is an area I frequently visit, whilst using the associated coastal paths. I regard it as something very special and should be protected from any material development.

I grew up in the Rame area and my parents live there and I return regularly. This AONB should nit be developed and particularly not in an unscrutinised way exploding the secrecy afforded by covid regulations.
