The society needs to recognize efforts and excellence to incentivize value creation and human progress. Starting from schools. The school's proposal diminishes effort and encourages mediocrity.

I wonder who gave the school’s power to overthrow a tradition that has been around for so many years. Is this a progress or a retrogression? The honoring system is not a competition - it’s a showcase for students who work hard to gain recognition in all aspects of their high school life. We should all be proud of our outstanding students who made such achievements, not humiliation. The attitude towards high achievers should be supporting and encouraging, rather than suppressing and discouraging.

ISD's decision to no longer offer or allow honor cords and stoles for students is highly unacceptable and disappointing. We should reverse this decision and keep promotingt good values for hard working students.

Dont take away such a special moment for kids who earned this. Its gone in the blink of a eye for viewers and not impacting anyones lives but the person who receives it.

We need to honor those who make the decision to work hard in school. Thank you.

This is ridiculous and hard to believe! How are we going to prepare our kids for the real world? How this is fair to those who have made so much efforts to make those achievements!!

Academic excellence should be recognized and acknowledged. That's essential to foster and nurture our future generation. We cannot make everyone rich but we shouldn't make everyone poor.

The kids work so hard for these and so do the parents. They deserve the honor and recognition for their hard work

This is outrageously unethical... Students who work hard, develop their talents, help others... and all else that shows the world a 'can do' spirit MUST forever be RECOGNIZED.. It's Common Sense, actually Encouraged Others, and shows youth in a Positive Light!!

Get real...Do not eliminate recognizing the high achievers at IHS. They applied themselves, put in the extra effort and deserve this special recognition. They are standout performers and not be recognized for their achievements is a terrible decision.

This is most rediculus thing I’ve ever heard of! The Principal should be forced to resign.
