Worst thing you could've done was separate these events the balloon fest was a disgrace from what I've been hearing fortunately I was unable to go and waste my money

I live by Peoria now and it wouldn't be worth it to come down there now for an hour or so for just one thing. Putting them together would benefit everyone.

I love the different festivals that we have here actually I think we need more little festivals and FREE stuff for people who can't afford to pay for things cause they have children

This tears events being split up seems to have brought LESS people to the community and LESS income overall! The traffic became a fiasco through both events Lincoln needs to return to the combined events and maybe set up a more feasable route for traffic both at the airport and downtown! I know that they are not able to control everything but it seems that when the BalloonFest started and it was spread out more it was way more enjoyable having several places that the Balloons landed and had the glow not all in the same place all over! Please board members take light of this and look into making some changes for the better, this years was by all means WORSE!!!

Really if you think about it,its like all the other things going on in our Country. Oh and we are all just the majority and if we would just speak up and get involved we can make changes. I know we're just talking about A festival but speaking up and finding the right people can make a difference. I myself am tired of everything that I like or has changed about our community and our Country. So much is being taken away from us. I bet A few of you think that way also.

I like the option of patronizing the downtown shops and enjoying the history and architecture of the city.. the fun and bustle of the crowd.. the wine tent across from Hallies so I can meander overy and have a wonderful schnitzel. . Shop the boutiques and antique stores.. and do it all in one weekend. . I don't have time to devote 4 weekends.. many people drive a long way.. it was great before somebody decided to (improve) it..

I did not go to ANY event this year because as most others, I anticipate the full festival and take time off work and other events for it and it wasn't worth losing money!. I knew it would suck and it did! Lincoln doesn't have enough going on to get people to travel here for one small event which is WHY it has been so successful in the past having all of them combined! Before I lived here, we used to travel down for the weekend for the Balloon Fest and it was worth it!. Since moving here 5 years ago, we have always looked forward to the whole event, even if the weather was unbearable. The powers that be clearly don't pay attention to what goes on here and clearly DID NOT GET INPUT FROM THE PUBLIC AND THE VENDORS! The vendors book their time a year in advance - we are not the ONLY event they schedule and many of them have counted on being here the same time for years! Just like we plan for the Apple & Pork Festival - it is a BIG DEAL!!!! I saved my money and day off for that this year!

The balloon fest needs to go back out to the fair grounds! The traffic was NEVER as bad as it is out at the airport!! I refuse to go and get caught up in THAT mess out there!!
