Instead of helping her this social worker took Taylor into care and has refused to return her in favour of ADOPTION even though there were NO grounds for the child to be taken from her mother other than she is ROMA.

should not be allowed the best place for a child,unless they can prove the child is at risk,after reading some things her heartbroken mum has written this seems highly unlikely.
My background is mental health, social work and counselling and I was of that generation that saw the Children Act come into being - with the underlying principle that "Child's needs are paramount". All the evidence points to children being kept within the family and culture they know as in their best interests. The trend towards adoption of Roma cghildren is very worrying and should be investigated for unstated motives.

This is racism. Had this happened to a black child in the US, the social worker would be unemployed!

I myself come from a Roma family and know well about the inadequacies of Social Services blanket policies for the Roma or Travellers. It is my hope that following the terrible events that gave led to a daughter being separated from her mother, that the Law is changed and guidelines and policy are created with consultation with the Roma community. It is my opinion that what has been done to Taylor price is illegal and those who took this action should be held accountable.
