Smart lunch is a crucial for students to see whichever teacher they need to see on whatever day they need to see them. Pride time only allow students to meet with one teacher per day and has to be the teacher that has been designated for that day. Smart lunch is also imperative for club meetings to take place.

Smart lunch was beneficial to students who took advantage of the extra help offered during the that time. It is a shame that the mass majority of good students will be the ones to suffer for the few troublemaking kids who are disrupting the smart lunch period because they can't respect or get along with other students. These misguided students should be the ones to suffer consequences for their actions not the children trying to be productive students.

Please don't remove it, and how is this keeping kids from fighting? Us teenagers are determined and there's 4 other periods to fight. Unless you intend to monitor every single bathroom and area. Then good luck.

We shouldn't punish the 99 plus percent of students who aren't fighting by taking away an initiative to help them be better students & improve their grades. This is the end of the quarter and a crucial time for students to get all of their work turned in and get all the extra help they need. Furthermore keeping more students on campus does not help with over crowding or help to limit issues. This also makes it harder on teachers who will now have to stay after hours to help students that they could normally help during smart lunch. This decision makes for unhappy students, teachers and parents and does NOT solve the real issue.

Smart lunch is utilized by many people and it helps me stay on track so don't take it away because of a select few.

although i have nit had to attend pride time yet those who do, do not have a choice to go fet help from another teacher. so i feel smartlunch gives kids that option to get extra help or retake a test if they attend pride time already and gives them more 1 on 1 time with the teacher. to me, i have been to smart lunch with a teacher a lot of times this yesr already and i think it has definitely helped me. i would hope that we can bring smart lunch back because i feel that it is important for the students.

It is sad that you are punishing the whole school for a few students who don't know how to act. Since the first day this principle has been there he has wanted to get rid of this program and this is just his way of doing what he wants. Parents stand up for your kids. I know this program has help my child.
