Shame on those whose force the people to vandalize this tribute to God fearing, God loving people. This was the wrong message to send to out to soldiers, families and the Good People of Belle Plaine, Mn.

Someone should make a template, and cut the silhouette out of plywood, or paint the silhouette on 5"x7", 8"x10", all the way up to 4'x8' - and make the image available for all who wish to proudly display on thier windows, doors, or place on private property ALL OVER town as a show of support!

The military protects the atheists right to not practice any religion. They should at least respect that fact enough to allow the veterans their memorials and beliefs. Unless the atheist and only the atheist is going to take the responsibility of defending a nation may they dictate to veterans!

I am tired of my rights being stomped on by others who are offended by every little thing. I do not know Joann Gill, But it is that soldier and cross that fought so that you could even have an opinion. I do not tell you how to live your life, do not tell me or others how to live theirs. If you do not like the cross then don't look at it. I have the right to see and believe in it.

This is an outrage... how many crosses are publicly displayed at for Snelling or any other various places. This organization is simply preying on small cities to gain publicity ... I hope they are doing their due diligence to control every other religious organizations public displays as well.

This religious thing is getting way out of hand. First the schools, can't celebrate certain occations not are they able to pray, the National Anthem The list goes on and on and I think it's rediculous.

If you don't live in the city you shouldn't be complaining about anything in their cemetery. Secondly, one person shouldn't be making all the decisions for the whole city council. Return the cross.
