The people who demanded the cross be removed are absolute cowards, I'm a non religious person and i have no issues with people having other beliefs or public display thereof, buy what's worse are the townships that bend to the will of a few.

Why are atheists so afraid of a cross since they don't believe?

If the towns people want to display items in honor of those who protected it, they should be able to. If you don't want to see it, don't look.

I drove by Veterans Park so often and for my fellow brothers and sisters in arms that have passed it has always warmed my heart knowing that their God was with them!

I do not live in Belle Plain, however, I am signing this petition to support the cross being put back. The person or persons with the complaint is NOW forcing their beliefs on us. This is about respect and honor for OUR veterans.

There is no valid reason that cross should be removed!! We can't run around trying to please everyone who complains that they are offended! It is creating a domino effect in a bad way for society!

I fully support the return of our cross. I was born and raised in Scott County Mn, and had three uncles serve at the same time, I think we have earned the right to put it up and show our respect for them, and any others who fight to protect us, and our Constitution, you know, the one which states that our right to freedom of religion is also protected under the first amendment, even thouggh this is bnot about religion, or prayer, again, it is about respect. The cross is simply representing a headstone, throughout history, when one could not be afforded, a wooden cross would be used in it's stead. Stop trying to erase history.
