Where is the money going?!? Taxes increase and increase but there continues to be nothing but under paid teachers, cuts in school programs and now this nonsense!! This isn't right!!!

You'd better make sure those school taxes don't go up again for 12 missed Monday's in those months... just because the school district Cannot budget their money correctly and continue to blame Harrisburg (even if they are some of the problem) does not mean the children, working parents and homeowners should suffer. How about district employees take a voluntary pay cut? Or get rid of the teachers who shouldn't be teaching (there is a list). Who is going to help those working parents who have to make a choice between time schedules and Losing their jobs...even with the heads up!

I can think of better places to fix the budget, cutting out Mondays during the three harshest winter months will not save as much as they thin in utilities. Not to mention extra pay to the teachers; some busses will still need to run, to take children to those schools who still believe in a quality, 5 day a week education. 1st step is to recall ALL the school directors, who have proved that they are not looking out for the best interests of our children.

Athletes are losing valuable time to practice.
It's not practical or ethical. Not to mention in the middle or the school year will mess with people's schedules, and with it being during winter months, even more time is being lost.
