She is a long standing teacher in the district who has touched many lives. She made a judgement call with parental permission. I believe she should be reinstated, if the Board feels the need to write her up, so be it. Reinstate her though! Sometimes their are unique circumstances. In a world where no one wants to get involve or go out on a limb for anyone, she did. The rule was out in place for student safety, the student was safe.

I do not know her, but from the many conments I have read, she is clearly a great teacher and had the best intentions. Give her a break.

The charges should never have made. I seriously question the school's motivation. There seems to be a move nationally to push older teachers out to save money.

She's a great asset to this district and I feel she did what she thought was correct for the situation at hand and shouldn't be punished this way!!

Mrs. Graf is a wonderful, kind, and compassionate teacher. Not only was she a passionate art teacher and head of the rotary club, but she teaches her students empathy by example. She is genuine, sincere, and finds a special way to bond with each of her students. She is the last person this should be happening to. The world, and Center Moriches High School, would be better off with more teachers like her.

Seems like a Labor Relations issue, and an issue for the NY EEOC, and NY State Department of ED.

This is ridiculous. Give the woman her job back. You have so few good caring teachers there. Most of them are apathetic, at best!!!

As a parent of a Center Moriches student, I am appalled a talented, caring, and dedicated teacher has been removed for going above and beyond for a student who was in need.

Out of kindness she comforted a young person and should not be reprimanded for doing this kindness.

I went to CMHS and she was one of the most friendly teachers I remember (class of 90). She does not deserve this and she should be able to finish out her last few months in the classroom. This is not a new teacher this is a teacher that has given 30 years to students. As a mother I could only hope that if my daughter went to a teacher for help it would be Mrs. Diana helping her.
