It's a slap in the face to do this to someone who's devoted 30 years to growing students!

I completely agree that Ms. Diana should be able to return to the classroom.

I had her as a teacher almost 18 years ago. She was such a sweatheart and always willing to help anyone with a problem. Such a warm hearted woman. She deserves to not be punished for helping someone. She did a great thing.

She was one of my teachers when I went to school in CMHS, and she was one of the few that genuinely cared for her students. I'm glad to see that this is still the case. Considering the girls parents have already stood behind her actions, she should be reinstated to her position.

The fact that the father gave permission, the girl was going through a seriously hard time, and that its her last year teaching makes this beyond absurd!!!! Bullying is the perfect word for this situation! She always puts others before herself, she does not deserve this at all!

As a parent I commend this teacher and support her. ( I have an older sister who was a teacher on LI and have seen the results of her students having a positive outlook and better learning experience as a result of a caring teacher) I have a daughter who is a teacher (Special Ed) for 1 year now who I encourage this type of interaction with a student.

I am a CMHS graduate (1993) who had Mrs. Graf in 7th & 8th grade. While not involved in the Art program after middle school, I do remember her as a teacher who always did what was best for kids. I hope that she is able to conclude her teaching career & retire in dignity.

mrs. Graf made a tremendous difference in my son's educational experience. This situation is totally unjustified.

Mrs Graf was a beacon of light and learning, support and inspiration for so many students, year after year. She has earned the right through her many years of dedicated service and education, to finish her final year with dignity, or as little as she can recover from what the school board has already stripped of her. She is one of the very few teachers who responds and respects students as human beings in a developmental stage who need guidance and understanding - rather than being judged as subjects waiting to be reprimanded and humiliated. She is everything a teacher should strive to be. CMHS is at a huge loss with her retirement whether they want to admit it or not. I am thankful to have attended CMHS before the current state of the board and administration and will forever be in debt to the education and grace bestowed on me by Mrs Graf.

She is a fine teacher and an even better person. I don't know what the schools agenda is, but it's downright disgraceful.

THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR SOCIETY. PEOPLE (administration) WHO CARE MORE ABOUT THEMSELVES THAN THE CHILDREN THEY ARE ENTRUSTED TO CARE FOR.
