Animal cruelty and ADA violation are the crimes committed by Animal Control and the Humane Society that portends protecting animals, but too often steal innocent peoples’ animals and ADA service dogs for profit by abuse of authority and violation of False Claims Act. She did exactly what she was accused of, and then violated the conditions of the sentence by doing it again. Mentally ILL!!!

This woman was convicted. This was NOT a theft OR a mistake. Read the court file. It's public record. And she has since violated that order again.

To all: This will be a lengthy post and the last post on the negativity of this case that has consumed our hearts, time, money and energy for the past 10 months. As the focus of our shelters is sharing mostly just the positive aspect of our organizations and the work we do, we really did not want to have to share these photos (that were made accessible to the public at the conclusion of the sentencing on June 6, 2017). However, in the past week Tobacco Valley Animal Shelter has been verbally attacked and slandered over and over by the people who support Cathie Warren/Odegaard, the person convicted of 5 counts of felony animal cruelty, 3 aggravated felony counts of animal cruelty and 1 misdemeanor. She herself is even threatening to sue the animal shelter. We want to state first and foremost that while we understand our FB family's anger and frustration, we would ask that you refrain from name calling and use your energy to elicit change for the better. One of the things we were accused of was "stealing" her animals to sell them for thousands of dollars...Tobacco Valley Animal Shelter and Libby Friends of the Shelter had absolutely nothing to do with the legal aspects of the inspection, the seizure or the trial and conviction of Mrs. Warren/Odegaard. We are contracted with Lincoln County to house and care for any animals that are impounded by animal control, surrendered by the public or seized by officials. That was our only role in this case and we did it with all of our hearts...for 10 months. When the sentencing was done and she was ordered to surrender all of the animals, we adopted them out to wonderful, loving homes for a $95 adoption fee, the same fee we charge for all other dogs that we adopt out. It has been said that we have raised thousands in donations from this case. That couldn't be further from the truth. It has actually cost us about $20,000 in grooming fees, supplies, extra employees and lost revenue due to the shelters not being accessible t

This case and the charges Cathie was found guilty of was determined by her lack of care/neglect of her animals, not if she is a good person or not.

This is absolutely ludicrous, I have known Cathie since I was a little girl , she used to come and live with us. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She always has loved animals and would NEVER hurt them or neglect them in any way. She has always Loved the Lord with all her heart and always would look for the Best in others. So I'm saying this give her back all her puppies. She's not a criminal so quit treating her like one. This is total nonsense.

Cathy's dogs are amazingly sweet and well cared for. You cannot go on a witch hunt for the wrong person! Free her and her dogs of these ridiculous charges.

You mean lazy breeders who use animals to line their pockets instead of working? NOBODY needs 50 dogs, service training school or breeder. Her expired kennel license was for 20 dogs, in a year and a half she had 33 more dogs. Does this sound like RESPONSIBLE breeding? She said it only took her 2 hours to properly care for over 50 dogs, feeding, fresh water and cleaning up messes. That is not even possible since they were kept in crates.

Give Cathie her dogs back now!

This seizing of these dogs is just wrong. There was nothing that justified it. Dog people are getting very tired of those hsus people trumping up stories and telling blatant lies about dog breeders. They use thes highly publicized bogus rescues to generate donations letting people believe to care for these dogs. Wrong these dogs were dumped on local shelters and their owner will be billed outrageously for their care. Sick sick sick

My comments have been removed. So I will post them again: "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour" is the ninth commandment. Today, most cultures retain a distinction between lying in general versus perjury, which is always unlawful under criminal law and liable to punishment. So Cathie, you are flinging this commandment around freely, when in fact you are the one lying. The poodle you left to die in the barn stall in no way could have received his wounds from a dog fight. His body was covered in sores, on every edge of bone standing out due to his starvation, no food and again no water. Explain that to your supporters and the donkeys too, and their body condition, the length of their hooves. Time to tell the truth. Cathie, you are forgetting what this is all about. You are about to be sentenced for your crimes of EIGHT FELONIES and ONE MISDEMEANOR of ANIMAL ABUSE/CRUELTY. You are just trying to bog down the facts presented in court by burying them in your nonsensical verses. The horrific photos taken of the animals on your property and presented in court are absolute proof of the cruelty the helpless animals had to endure under your 'care'. It is about the ANIMALS, not YOU. I don't care about Business and Labor Committees at this point. I care about the animals YOU had and the abuse/cruelty and starvation that YOU caused.
