The proposed charging fees have been officially withdrawn by ESB ecar. Your involvement was essential in securing this outcome and ensuring the transition to electric vehicles remains accessible. I encourage everyone to remain observant to ensure these costs do not resurface in the future.

the 30c per minute is disgusting. this equals approx €9 for 20kw of power compared to €€3.20 for 20kw of power at home. Simply a rip off from a monopoly power supplier. There appears to be no oversight on these middle management bullies.

If electric cars are to be the Future why charge now such CRAZY CHARGES. There aren't even enough fast charges especially on the Dublin Kerry road via Limerick. Get the Fast chargers installed in Most Garages/Lay byes then start talking charges & ONLY then.

Shocking, thought this petition was a windup but having just spoken to a local Nissan garage I'm stunned to find that the charging structure detail is real. Based on this I'll be buying a small format diesel in 2016, not a leaf as planned.

I supply a charger for public use. I pay for the electricity used by EVs. I have willingly done this to encourage the spread of EVs. Will ESB now pay me ? This initiative is ludicrous and will be the kiss of death to the EV in Ireland,

Makes me feel like an idiot for buying an EV in the first place, now I wish I'd kept my Smart car. I hardly ever use public chargers but would have no problem paying a proper price per KW when I do. Can that be so complicated? At least give the option.

Ridiculous monthly fee. Pay for what you use, a model that is accepted by those with 'normal' cars who happen to be the people ESB need to attract. I need to use an FCP once a month, pay 17 euro a month and then 10 euro to use it. Not right.

This is Ireland , the fee will increase to an amount that will replace the tax got from Petrol and Diesel, the monthly fee will increase as the numbers of EV's Increases . Eventually driving an electrical car will be more expensive than petrol or diesel . Monthly fee whether you use the car or not , queues at charging points , and range anxiety 25 minute charge time, doesn't seem like a good deal to me !!
