Rethink Drug Consumption Sites, Seattle and King County!

There should be no place sanctioned to perform illegal activities of any kind.

Drug consumption sites are not a good idea, and I oppose them. Please don't put one in my neighborhood.

Enabling addicts does not help them recover.

Keep our streets safe

can't be more against a location built with tax money to do illegal activities!

I feel strongly that by supporting the "Safe Injection Site", we are enabling the addicts who have come to Seattle & area. We are supporting addicts who are openly flouting the law. We are setting a horrid example for our young adults & impressionable children. We are also allowing our city, our parks, our neighborhoods to be taken over by addicts who lie, steal, & panhandle to collect enough to support their habit. It is an circular situation that screams to be interrupted.

More $ for treatment, NOT enabling

I object to the idea of injection sites.

NO injection sites! How about bringing back treatment facilities instead? Let's not encourage drug use.

Safe injection sites make zero sense. Heroin is an illegal substance that kills hundreds of thousands of people each year! We should not be helping them easily inject. They should be arrested and placed into drug treatment funded by private donors like planned parenthood. Not paid for by the law abiding citizens. Just like we're paying for the careful grooming and clean-up for the people under the bridges to be comfortable.

This only encourages use in a family neighborhood. A friend's son who lives in this neighborhood got caught up in the easily accessibly drugs in this area. STOP. We do not want this here. Spend the money on something more constructive than providing a easy means for drug dealers to continue to support their deadly habits and to entice others to join them. This will fail, but the lives it will take with it can never be restored. DO NOT CONTINUE with a system that rewards drug users paid for by hard working tax payers.

Having treatment available when it is requested is way more important to the recovery process than having safe injection sites. Please put the mone and time here instead of trying this experiment of injection sites.

Cure seems a better route for the money that would be put towards promotion at injection sites.

There are many more positive alternative's then this.

I'd much rather have my tax dollars spent on treatment than for a "safe injection site". It is ludicrous to me that those who promote these sites actually think that "safe injection" is a good thing. Treatment is good.

This has to be the stupidest idea the city and county have had yet NO, NO, NO!!!!! Bad idea

Nothing enables like the proposed plan. It is also a place for drug abusers to meet other drug abusers and continue their downward spiral together. Sharing info of who has more drugs for sale if they can't buy from their usual dealer. This is just a hub. A waste of money. I oppose!!
