Parking is already caos in town. Losing promenade parking at that end is going to have a big impact on the whole of Douglas especially for people who work in town.

As usual this was rushed through planning. Then quietly given consent so no one would notice it had been passed and the period to object would have passed by the time anyone did notice.

Totally unacceptable. Appalled at the lack of consultation

I used to live in that area and it was horrific for parking as it was. Taking more parking away will reduce residents quality of life and most probably result in lower house prices in an area where they are already quite low. Planners need to really provide an alternative as this will cause chaos. ☹️

Consideration for residents and businesses should be a priority

Probably one of the hardest areas to find a parking spot on the promenade and it gets taken away! At least review the proposals and give some options for the residents and businesses.

It is completely illogical to remove these parking spaces. As a tenent in one of the properties affected I am fully aware of how many people use these spaces to ‘pop’ into town. There is a blatant disregard to the people this directly affects, as nobody was notified of the ‘proposed changes’. The council are meant to serve not hinder the people are they not?

We need more parking, not less, else people will use on-line shops.

The track layout there seems to be unnecessarily convoluted Parking should be retained wherever possible.

Parking is already difficult enough. I can’t see what benefits at all this will bring to anyone. It won’t effect traffic flow.

Retain parking unless a viable alternative parking arrangement is made.
