All two oldest children went to Bensalem Base and are now in HS and Middle School. My youngest is 8 years old and attends the Base program everyday. She absolutely loves it. I asked her why she likes BASE. Her response was "I get to do fun things and I can play on the IPAD. We don't have an IPAD and she gets to use it there. The base staff are all wonderful and caring people. My daugher was upset in the begining of school and going to base was the only thing that she looked forward to. The staff are caring and willing to go above and beyond for the kids.

This a great program for children and families who can't afford the high cost of daycare. It is also good that the kids get to spend more time with their friends before and after school hours

B.A.S.E. lives up to the Core Standards. The staff provides a variety of activities for all children so they have choices. Every child can participate in an activity they enjoy and they don't get bored.

My children love the teachers at their BASE program!! They are caring and wonderful and interact so much with the children. I think kids get used to seeing a familar face in the morning and afternoon and if you take what they are used to away, it will frighten many of them. Especially young kindergarteners. Stability is very big for a child. If this corporation comes in and has a high turnover rate, that will not be good for the children. Ultimately though, this staff is amazing and our kids respect them, are used to seeing them, and look forward to it. I had a point personally where my child didn't want me to give her breakfast because they wanted to see what they were having and convinced me it was "way better". That says alot right there.

Please consider the children's feelings in your decision. The children have come to trust and respect the staff at BASE. The BASE staff is made up of local residents, with low turnover and many years of experience (many of them have raised their own kids/grandkids) Please don't bring in a corporate group who is going to start hiring individuals (most likely a majority of teaching graduates, as they said at the meeting, who would most likely leave if a full time teaching opportunity came around). On top of the turnover issue, how can you be sure the group of providers will mess with each other/be able to organize meeting projects/events given they wouldn't have too much time between the school board decision, the hiring process and first day of camp? Bensalem has a program that works well and both parents and kids LOVE. Champions program does not offer anything above and beyond what BASE can offer our children so please consider keeping the current program in place.

Please retain B.A.S.E. as the Before and After School Program. The Summer CAMP B.A.S.E. has is the most awesomest program there is. They are the BEST. It is very important my family and son to have B.A.S.E. as our after school care provider.

My family benefits greatly from this affordable way of Before and After care. It's hard enough seeking care but this enrichment program does more than just watch your children. They care about your child's education, safety, and well being. I would greatly be at a disadvantage if this program isn't afloat. SAVE B.A.S.E.

Providing safe and affordable after school care is essential in our community. It would be irresponsible to discontinue this program. These programs are providing a safe environment for kids and allowing parents to work outside the home who would otherwise be restricted because of child care.

This is an important part of our children's day, I want to keep it, as we deserve to have local care givers, local providers, local spend in our community, and keep local businesses afloat.
Please share this with everyone that you know. Thank you!
