I am a retired teacher, principal, and asst. superintendent who spent 15 years teaching with the New Diana school district. I have many former students who I keep up with and many still live in Diana.
If this is true, Coach Wager has been asked to resign, it is very sad. Unfortunately, the damage has now been done and cannot be reversed.
With the state of the basketball facilities in Diana, I wonder why any successful basketball coach would want to stay?
Why would a superintendent who has not been able to pass a single bond support this move and for that matter why would he stay?
I have no dog in the hunt, other than I care about New Diana ISD and the students I taught there and their families.
Coach Wager, I don't know you personally, but God has bigger and better things planned for your life. Don't let this define who you are as a person, or as a coach. Best wishes on whatever you decide to do.

Obviously his structure and strategy is what’s best for those kids and the results show. He loves those kids and it shows by them being successful in their sport.

It’s sad to see mind blowing changes like this that make absolutely no sense. As a recent alum, this is a huge letdown not only to the community, but to the kids that he was coaching and mentoring on and off the court which includes a lot of my close friends who’s lives he has positively impacted. This is bigger then basketball. New Diana needs Coach Wager like the asset he has proven to be.

I have seen first hand how great of a coach Colton is and how his players respect him and will go to battle for him. It's ridiculous that we still have football coaches/athletic directors who get their feelings hurt because a basketball coach is standing up for his time and his players. This AD sounds like a middle school girl who says, you're not my friend anymore so you can't come to my birthday party. Colton has brought respect and success to ND basketball and he deserves to be the head coach of the basketball program.

Why would you ask an ND Alum who has proven himself by turning around a struggling program? What are you teaching by getting rid of people who do not do things they way you do? Diversity of thought brings better solutions. How can you be a leader if you get rid of those that don’t agree?

Coach Wager has all the ingredients that great coaches have as leaders: honor, integrity, compassion, love for his players. When was the last time New Diana basketball won 20 or more games in a season before this year? Well done Coach Colton Wager.
